New Telitec service commissioned for Camposol. The infrastructure at the Camposol installation has been fully upgraded with a direct link into a reliable high speed Fibre fed internet source. In Dec 2007 contracts were signed and work commenced. The new service was commissioned early 2008 removing the need to depend on Telefonica's outdated poor performing Internet services. Camposol now has one of the most advanced communication services available in the Murcia region. Mark Catlin, managing director of Telitec says " At long last the people of Camposol have the service they deserve". Over 600 Existing Telitec subscribers on Camposol were upgraded totally free of charge as promised and the service is now available with a range of connection speeds. The whole system outperforms, out prices and outdates anything Telefonica have to offer. The biggest difference subscribers noticed is the performance of the internet connection and the quality of the Compucall phone system. The old connection was sourced from an array of Telefonica ADSL lines. with an end user maximum download of about 800k and an upload of 256. However the performance of a Telefonica ADSL supply is very poor for a number of reasons. each ADSL line is shared between 20 to 50 other lines, causing severe slow down and congestion at peak times. The Telefonica infrastructure is old and unreliable with poor routes to the internet backbone. in contrast The new Telitec link is uncontended (not shared with anybody) it has clean fast routes to the internet backbone using the latest fibre optic technology, the end user has the same upload and download speed (syncronous). In effect the basic package of 1MB/1MB outperforms a 3MB ADSL connection even though the rated speeds are slower. The higher upload speeds vastly improve the sending of large emails, uploading to websites and online gameplay etc. The new system is also future proof as bandwidth can be increased as demand dictates.
